Dear Lukas Rossi Fans...
Thank you for visiting my little blog in the massive droves that you have been. I hope you've read some stuff, enjoyed it, etc.
Just for the record, all I said was that I didn't want to "lose to Lukas Rossi". I don't. I think he has a modicum of talent, but the one time I met him + the way he conducted himself on that TV show were the same: Douchebag wanna-be rockstar attitude. Hey, maybe he's the salt of the Earth, all I know is my experience. So, I dind't want to lose to him.
Then his wife, whom I did not send the email to so I don't know how she got a hold of it, decided to lecture me on politeness, and being careful what I said about people, etc etc blah blah blah. So I told her the above. It's my honest opinion. She decided to insult me, not very logically I might add, and then maturely decided to sick all of you on me. Hey, thats cool, my hit counter goes up, gives an old guy like me a thrill. I get precious few of them these days.
So, this is just so you know the caliber of people you're dealing with. Either way, since there's, like, 10000 of you, and only a few hundred of us, I don't think we have a hope in hell of beating his numbers. I can only hope the judges have some say in it.
Enjoy your stay at the park.
This is an extremely interesting documentary about mid-wifery, and the myths/facts surround it and Obstetrics. It also helps crystallize my belief that:
A) Pregnant women that schedule cosmetic C-sections are insane, or narcissistic, or dupes, or insane narcissistic dupes.
B) Insurance Companies are horrendous scams that have pulled the greatest con ever: making themselves legally mandatory.
Watch and learn. Seriously, worth the time.
**UPDATE FOR THE LUKAS ROSSI FAN CLUB**
I need your help.
Redpipe.ca is having a "Best Unsigned Band In Canada" contest, and I would love if you could do the following:
1. Got to http://www.25000.ca
2. Vote for both of the bands +nurse and zoolab
3. Go back every day and vote again.
4. Get all your friends to do this, at least once. Send them an email, put it up on your blog, talk about it in your podcast, post about it on facebook.
For this I would be eternally grateful. You might think I'm joking about #4. I really am not. It would be really really awesome if you could help by organizing YOUR contacts to vote for us. And thats part of how grassroots groundswell starts, right? Word of mouth? Wouldn't it be cool if we won, and you all had a hand in that success? Like cheering for the home team, right?
Plus, I REALLY REALLY don't want to lose to Lukas Rossi. ;)
Thanks! Now get voting!
